I'm Pong

User experience design

I'm Pong is a game that is developed during the course Interactive Media Products of the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. The project was completed within a week. The assignment was to come up with a concept that needed a big beamer. The game is a spin-off of the old 'Pong' game and works with a Microsoft Kinect, a big red button (to start the game) and two beamers.

The I'm Pong game is started by pressing the big red button in front of the screen. After pressing the button, the players have to get in position and the countdown will start. By moving your hand, you can control your paddle to block the ball. The first player who scores three points wins. Within this short project, I was responsible for the screen designs and the user experience in the physical environment.
